I'm looking to challenge myself - I'll be touring the city of Dallas, taking photos of Bail Bonds' Neon Signs for a possible gallery showing.
I'd like tips and suggestions and how best to capture Neon - your experience...
I shoot most of my photos during night. That is because i work the night shift and most of the time i keep my day rhythm the same even when i am out of work.
This is a shot from last night. Thoughts?

Hey everyone, I am new here, just now registered to ask this question.
I bought my first proper DSLR 6 months back, and have been using it mainly for video, though I have done some photography, mostly just to practice techniques and familiarize myself with the camera.
I wouldn't call myself a...
This is the pier at Torbert MacDonald Park, Mystic River Reservation in Medford, MA. Always thought that this would make a nice subject but wasn't quite sure as to how to put it in the right light. Taking away the light altogether and shooting it at night has been the most successful approach so...

I'm not an astrophotographer, but I'm trying to be better at it. I took these tonight, but I'm not very pleased with them. I think my main problem is I don't live in an area where good spots to shoot from are readily available. This was in a small lawn at the bottom of the hill in my...
