I am buying mine for 1000. Just actually sealed the deal this morning. I know that my price was a good deal and the lens is in great shape, original owner who I know through our PPOC community. There was one on ebay for 604 auction style yesterday but Im sure price will go up. Good luck.

Congrats on that price ! I have seen them go from anywhere between 1400 - 1600 on ebay.

Thanks well you better swipe yours then too. Sounds about what I have heard is right price if its in good condition. If maintained glass doesn't really depreciate too much does it?

So, how big a cut does eBay get on a $1600 lens deal? $125 plus the listing?

Plus eBay also owns Paypal, so they get to double-dip for another $50 or so.

Suggestion: For pricing comparisons, check local craigslist in addition to fleabay. I like it because i can inspect the items before purchase, and usually they're cheaper than eghay because the seller isn't hit with astronomical fees.
