Here's a couple of pictures I took on New Years Day in Kamakura, Japan. These are from around the grounds of the Great Hase Kannon. These are how they came out of the camera with the exception of the last picture which I cropped a little bit.

#2 I think I would've taken it straight on. I just think the walls in the back ruin the pattern.
#4 Maybe a little lower and level with the subjects . Just my opinion.

Great location btw, Hope you enjoyed your trip !

#1 - a bit cut off!
#2 - my favourite, but like 703Methane said, none of that wall would've been nice. I like the angle though.
#3 - love it, not a big fan of the tilt though.
#4 - taking the photo from a lower position would've helped this one a LOT.

How was Japan? Always wanted to go!

Thanks for the advise. I'm going to try to get back sometime and reshoot some more. When I was there they were closing so I had to hurry through.

I think the background of the first one is distracting..try a different angle with a more blurry background
