Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
This is my 4 year old sister who happens to be 23 years younger than me. These were a few of my sentimental favorites but I would appreciate any technical C&C. These haven't been edited yet except for the cropping in photos 1 and 2.

I like how she is framed in the first one.

I  the repitition of the dots from her dress, in both the light dots, and the circles on the toy.

Might have been better shot vertical to capture more of her dress, and lose the artsy angle. :)

The dappled light on her is not a good thing though.

I'm going to disagree with Bitter (and not just on principle this time! ;) ) While I #3 as well, I think the dappled light works very well; in fact, this is one of the few cases I've see where, IMO, it does work. I would suggest a bit more work on your mono conversion however; her "white" dress is rather grey.

Thanks Jeweler! She was pouting in the first one because I wouldn't chase her. This was the first time I did a "shoot" with someone and for some reason I felt the need to keep doing the artsy angle thing. Lesson learned though. I'm gonna "try" to edit the light off of her in the 3rd one and Ill post my results.

Hmmm...maybe we can turn this thread into a 5 page debate/trainwreck on whether the dapple dots are a distraction or not.

Ready?

Go!

Thanks for the C&C tirediron. I'm gonna try to edit that 3rd one and then compare. The light on her temple is the only one that kinda bothers me. I didn't convert this image though I just shot in B&W.

Angled shots work best when you WANT to imply motion, instability, They aren't the best for solitary (pouty) moments.

I hate the distracting dapple dots...

(am i doing this right??) :sexywink:

btw, in terms of an actual CC....I feel like the lights on / around her work pretty well. Honestly not a fan of the B/W though.

Here is my shotty attempt at editing the dots off her face/body. Better or worse?? Personally I like it better this way.

Nice job!Soften or blend the correction a little more on here temple. It's almost perfect.

Total noob to PSE9 so I don't know how to soften or blend. I just used the Spot Healing Tool with Content Aware. Thanks though! But I'll google how to.
