I think more and more cameras come with the 65:24 X-pan aspect ratio in camera crop option to the market; all the Lumix Full Frame cameras, the Fujifilm medium format cameras and some Hasselblad cameras too. I just wanted to share pictures here with this interesting aspect ratio that has some narrative quality.

The Fujifilm TX-1 was great fun.

Beautiful shots. I guess this saves time from not having to crop in post.

Indeed, the Fujifilm TX-1 and that Hasselblad X-pan were the same camera, right?

Have lost track of the various Fuji/Hasselblad collaborations.Fuji still appears involved with Hasselblad lens and viewfinder development.

The 65:24 aspect ratio is interesting, but I have to wonder about it's downside when doing it in a digital camera. In the film era models you actually exposed the equivalent of (2) 35 mm frames, while in digital you're cropping away sensor. Have you ever had the opportunity to compare film vs negative side by side? Also would be interesting to compare a cropped X-Pan with a stitched panorama.
