70-200mm f2.8 vs 70-200mm f4

I have the Canon 70-200L f/2.8 Mk2. I did a lot of research (written and video reviews etc) between the f/2.8 and f/4 before I purchased it and overall the f/2.8 came out on top most times. That said the f/4 would probably have done for my needs but early on in my photography venture, I was told to buy the best glass I could afford at the time. For this reason I opted for the f/2.8.
