I decided to try out bird photography, but since I don't have the budget for faster telephoto lenses, I decided to stick with my 55-200mm that came with the 18-55mm kit lens for my Nikon D3100. It took me several tries getting closer and being patient. My best result was this:

I think it is really pretty. I like the vibrant colors of the leaves and that pinkish flower adds that accented "pop" to the picture. Tell the bird shim posed well. Other than the tree seeming it is over sharpened a tad bit and the tilt, it looks great.

i agree the wall being tilted is a little distracting. the branches do look a bit sharp like said.

the blacks look nice on the bird good job on exposure on the bird.

if anything the exposure could be very slighty dropped, maybe bump the shadows if you do drop exposure a tiny bit

Thanks guys. It does seem too sharpened since I set my camera's sharpness setting to the max.

Should I change the settings of my camera (the sharpness, contrast, brightness, and color) or should I just leave it at 0? The settings goes up to 7 (which is the max), but I only set the sharpness to 7 and everything else at 0.
