A bench by the lake

too much lake and not enough bench. if you didn't tell me there was a bench i'm not sure I would have noticed it.

It stands out for me, being so bright. It may even be blown out, I can't tell. I don't think it can carry the scene on it's own, though.

cut some of the forground brush, looks oof anyway just distracting. put your focus point closer. i am guessing you focused straight across the pond. Move it back like half half way, a third off your shore. only not sure what mode you shot this in, but open it up. then keep it at f14 or something with your focus. nearer. The bench does not need a focus point directed straight at it, as it is part of the over all scene.
just guessing here. i can barely see this, cant see it up close. Might have made more sense in color and we could view it easier. The gray in the foreground just seems to all go togther...

So noted folks.... thank you. I have the original in color. I am thinking maybe the BW conversion doesn't really work. I will dig up the original file in color and post it tomorrow.
