A bit of a mix...

Hi, took these a couple of days ago. Would be great if people could C+C them to within an inch of their existence. Tried something a bit different with no.3 (ok so I know anyone can add a basic PS filter...)

i really like the first one.. number 2 is not a bad image, i'm just not drawn to it at all, not a fan of number 3 the filter you added kinda wrecks it IMO #4 is decent

Thanks for posting! Yeah I was a bit doubtful about #3 because it's a bit naff to add these kind of filters, but I thought maybe...this might be the time....

thats pretty common around here... i'd work mostly on your contrasts ... when people dont say anything, it typically means your photos are ok.. but not amazing... which these are.. some are good, some need work.. keep at it though

I think the yellow on the van needs to pop a little more. And I think the statue needs to be lightened/contrast a little. (It could be my un-calibrated monitor, i think its a little dark)
It doesn't say whether your photos are ok to edit, if they are I can post what I mean.

Yeah go ahead. I increased the vibrance on it and the contrast a bit - show me what you mean.

Ok, I just selected the van and selected the yellow and bumped it up alittle

I selected the statue and went in and lightened shadows and a bit of brighten and contrast

and on this one did the same but on the whole pic

I like the second statue now much better! The details really bring it out

I really like #1, especially with the popping yellow van. i would crop is a bit to get rid of the left side of the street.

Thanks for the suggestions Raze, I can see what you mean - I could have brought out the gold a lot more! I was really just trying not to overprocess...
