A boy ... and his friend

This boy happily posed for the camera while we walked through Fener, part of Istanbul, for nothing but one glimpse onto the back of the camera and a happy giggle ...

... and then he felt he HAD to have his friend in the photo, too (a photo they both only ever saw once, and for about one second, in the size of the display on the back of my camera). But they seemed happy enough with that.

Do I have to explain that NO planning could go into these AT ALL, at first the boy alone, and later he and his friend just jumped in front of me, smiled, and I had to be quick and get their photos. That's all. (Had the presence of mind to realise it'd never work without the inbuilt flash as fill).

Not bad at all considering the spontaneous circumstances. I love the composition and DOF on the first though.

Hmm, I am more partial to the second one...the arms around each other's shoulders, the grins, the dirty faces and shirt, all spell "typical boys" to me!
