Thank you Sir. You should have seen me throwing a fit because I missed the money shot of it taking off. It flew right over the top of me with half of the sushi it was eating.

It happens :( I have 3 cards with me at all times. I keep a 16 gb in my camera (about 1K shots in raw) and 2 8gb on my strap. I transfer them to my external hard drive every time I use them and give them a fresh format before I go out again..

nice photos.

dual 32 gigs in my camera at all times

No doubt. I carry 4 8gb cards. We had been shooting in a few other spots earlier. I thought I was being proactive. The fact is I had enough space to get what I needed. I freaked myself out by shooting 15 or so seconds of video. Consider it a bonehead move . My wife actually uses a 32 gb card and of course it never gets close to full.

Yep, the dual card slots are definitely one of my favorite things about my D7000! Two 32gb cards, and it's pretty much eliminated that problem of missing the shot because your card fills up.
All my missed shots are entirely about ineptitude at this point.

Those are awesome shots, JacaRanda! Out of curiosity, what lens are you shooting with?

Beauty of the D7000, it holds two cards. On long trips, I carry two 16 GB cards and 8 8GB cards. Next stop will be CA up the coat and some inland, then over to Reno and down through Mono lake area and back to so Cal before heading back east through Byrce and Zion, Grand Canyon and then the dreary drive back to FL.

Good crisp focus on all the shots.

That sounds like a great trip! Hopefully you can hit the old stomping grounds (Bolsa Chica) and it's during a time when most of the birdies are there.

Thank you Sharon. These were taken with the 70-200 F4 IS + 1.4 TC.

I am jealous of you Nikoners with your Dualness  :hail::lol: I am wondering if and when that stupid 70d or 7d II comes out if either will have dual slots.

I plan on it!
