Yo,
First of all, Hi, I am new.
I just purchased a Canon Powershot G5 . . . which I guess is kind of "a bit much" for a "first camera" - digital or film. We'll just classify it as one of those impulse buys ;)
Anyway, I do intend to get my money's worth, so I was wondering if any of you all could recommend an informative (and not too expensive) general (digital) photography guide (in terms of composition and basic photography terms). Or maybe even websites?
I think I am as "beginner" as they get, ha ha - so don't assume I know anything. ;)
Thanks in advance! :)

I find that John Hedgcoe writes some very informative books. Another thing you could do is to cheat and look into what texts a local University Professor uses to teach their photography course and get the book used. On top of all of that you could just go to the local bookstore, look under photography and they will surely have some digital photography books so just take your pick of the litter and look and see which one appeals to you. Good luck
