It's my day off so I'll probly troll a lot today. lol.

I am off for now though. Scoping out a cool place to shoot. Buddy is a contractor and when ripping down a wall he saw what would be a great shoot...so we are gonna see if we can convert into a mock studio.

Imagine "the people under the stairs" sort of environment. Wooden vertical slats with a space behind them. gonna shoot lights through the slats, add a little fog, put some chicks in front of it..and see what happens.

For now we gonna put he and I in the shots to see if our vision works...then comes the chicks.

Just got back from scouting, not quite as "people under the stairs-ish" as he led me to believe...however there is great potential there. I took a few snapshots and shot a flash through the slats to get an idea. I'll post em up later, gotta run out again.

Seriously need to ditch the scarf. And I'm actually not joking; I find the scarf, with its incredibly busy and colorful pattern, a bit distracting. Then she's got the belly tattoo, which is equally colorful and busy, but in a different way. I dunno - maybe it'd be better with a plain scarf? I'm also finding the shadow(s) created by the scarf to be a bit off-putting. There appears to be a black, shadowy "U" on her stomach in the second shot.

already happened, you just can't tell. ;-) Upon closer scrutiny, with orginal files, you can tell. Some poses didn't work as the light was hitting them wrong and made them more pronounced and I didn't feel like doing that much editing.

Mommy's have stretch marks...just how it is. To limit your PS efforts start first with your lighting...makes PP life so much easier.

I would take a bet that tattoo came right after the kid to try and hide any marks, I have seen a few girls do this now. In # 1 her skin along her left arm and collar looks a bit too smoothed out to me. could be this moniter though since i'm at work, but that was the main thing that jumped out at me.

The only "smoothing" I did there was spot removal of stretch marks on her bicep area.... It's odd 'cause I agree on these posted images she looks plastic/smooth but in the files in PS and when zoomed in you can see much skin texture and detail...even hairs and such...so I dunno..I'll see how it comes out on a test print.

Here are two quick snapshots of the rooms we want to shoot in. Shot a quick flash through the slats from the adjacent room. I am thinking carry in mono lights ,use strobe and even use the modeling lamp yellow lighting...might be cool.

Ideally we'd like to get rays of light shining through onto the model. Might be awesome...or total fail. lol

Had my 10-22 on camera, didn't feel like changing lenses so I just did quick snaps with it to get idea for later pondering.

I agree.. with the scarf, it's all a bit too much. There are so many things screaming for attention all at once. Between the colorful scarf, all the jewelry, ginormous tattoo, the obvious partial nudity.... the scarf should go - just use hands to cover parts or something simple. This pic is almost more about all the "stuff" and not as much about her - which it should be. If I looked that good after having kids, I'd be showing it off too.

Yeah I see lots of potential...especially at night. There were windows letting in a lot of daylight....so he and I will be setting up strobes and lights in various ways to see how to maximize the coolness.
