So the geek squad guys are IT professionals?

*runs away*

Yes they are.

And yeah, a lot of them have almost no clue.

But they get paid to do IT work. They're pros.

Period.

So you are saying they are exactly the same as you? No distinction?

Or are we all just confusion "pro" and "professional"?

This is a very interesting subject.

So, as I read this, I was wondering how I fit into the mix. I am not a Pro in the photography field. I am a Mechanical Engineer. Although I do not design as much as I once did since I have moved up in my profession.

I have a passion for photography and for the last year been working on learning more and see if this is an area I want to venture into. I have done several shoots and events but I have not charged. I feel as if I am paying my dues to gain experience, plus, since I know I am not a Pro, I do not feel as if I can or should charge at this time.

Comments welcomed.

I'm pro IT.

want proof?

ok:

Did you unplug and replug the PC?

There are good professionals
Bad professionals
and everything in between and in other dimensions

the quality of your product and price make the distinction

Monty Python rules, don't make me post the video again :albino:

And I think that's far enough on this thread - most of what can be said has been said and I don't think we need another round of "what I think a pro should be"

Also for the bunnies
