a pink rose with frost then rain.... c&c plz

i'm still new to photography i've done a lot of practicing.... looking forward to some much needed c&c please! Thank you!

#1 is blurry. 1/30 shutter....hand held I am guessing would explain that. Also a lot of dead space on the right. #2 I wish the petals on the bottom were not cut off. Maybe a touch underexposed as well.

You guessed right with the shutter & until I can get more & better equipment handheld is all I can get, and with the frost at 6am it was a tad to cold for my taste - figured it would be bad to take the shot from behind the window. I also wish that bottom petal of #2 was in the frame.... at the moment I thought it was and when I went to retake it (since it is my rose bush) I found my pup had began a habit of pulling my flowers off the stems. As for the dead space I have been working on the rule of 3....slowly but surely I am getting it.

I am on my iPod so I can't look and exif data right now but could you have increased the ISO to allow the shutter to come up? If you were able to get the shutter to 1/60 you may have been ok if you have a steady hand.

For #1, I would have used a slightly wider aperture and boosted the ISO.

Yeah I find myself always forgetting something, whether it be ISO, aperture and even shutter, but I have seen my shots getting slightly better. THANKS EVERYONE!
