Well, last Wednesday I got my first pics of a Common Sandpiper. Low and behold 4 days later and 140 miles away on the banks of another Highland river I got me second lot.

Aye, cheers. The name belies their actual commoness albeit they are not completely rare. Such tiny things too for a wader.
