I was joking. I wasn't planning out on what to do. Honestly, I'm pretty nervous. The location for his celebration is in upscale nightclub. I'm worried how will things work out.

Beside, why are worrying about the 4 hours gap. There is time I have to work overtime. The location from my house, work, and the party are very far away. If I miss it, it is not a big deal.

According what he told me, there is a rehearsal starting at 5pm. I assumed there will be a fashion show to celebrate his birthday.

Okay, here is my plan. When I get off work. It is not guarantee that I will get off work at 3pm. I may get off later than 3pm or early than 3pm. I thought about skipping work to avoid the hassle and go straight to his celebration or party. However, I figured I can workout my schedule. I thought about going straight home after work, but that would be about 2hrs-2.5hrs of ride. I need to change my clothes. I don't want to wear the same clothes that I work and go to the nightclub. So, I decided I will to go to the restroom in starbucks to change my clothes, or I can change inside my car and, hopefully, no one will see me. There will be a chance I can get to the nightclub before 7pm. Working is very tiring. I was about to turn down his invitation. Instead, I decided, what the heck, I will go to the nightclub after work and have a chance to meet with this fashion producer and director.

Change in the car, see if you can get arrested for public semi-nudity before you even get on the road... I'M KIDDING! Go in Starbucks.

I used to do that all the time, take along a change of clothes and change at work or at a Starbucks or wherever, when I commuted to the city and didn't have time to go all the way home first. Before going to something after work that is.

So this makes more sense finding out it's a fashion show/birthday party and maybe I was right, he may have invited half of planet Earth. So it may not have been worth taking off work because you might not even get to talk to him, or... could be a quick hello how are you kind of thing and not much else. Or could turn out to be an opportunity for an actual conversation.

Sounds like he may be well known enough to have a number of hangers on and whatnot, people offering to do all kinds of things for him for a chance to get a foot in the door. Or so people might think. I wouldn't hold your breath that this will lead to an opportunity to take photos for him, for pay, or even for an opportunity to intern or shadow a pro that works for him, or whatever. But you never know. If it's something that sounds fun to go to, then go have fun and see what it's like.

It was a fun night. The 4 hours trip was worth it. I came in late and got stuck in the nightmare-traffic jam. I finally meet him just for couple of seconds. We shake hands, and he thanks me for coming. I don't think he remembers me from LinkedIn. Anyway, he is humble and charismatic. He is more like a celebrity instead a fashion director/producer.
