... and sound technician, Michael B Tretow suddenly came into the little empty store I had borrowed to set up a primitive studio to take 120 portraits of the locals here, in Hökarängen , where I live. A strange project, but I have been wanting to take portraits of some of the originals living here, for a long time.

And suddenly Michael walks in , curious on what was going on. Besides Abba, he recorded one of my favourites from at totally different genre. The great blues piano player, Sunnyland Slim. I could not resist asking to take his portrait, and he agreed.

I finally did 120 portraits of the locals, and now a 8 foot collage is in one of the store windows here in the suburb of Stockholm. Heres what it looks like.

Some of the portraits gave me ideas of different backgrounds, so for a few I remade them totally. A couple can be seen here.
