1 and 2 look a bit underexposed. There is no composition, just a dog centered in the frame.

thanks it is back to compostion lessons for me... i appreciate your reply. how would you obtain compostion in this type of pic with the dog running toward me.. would you change scenery.. change lighting.. get down to dog level.. just need some tips..

#3 = dog's but and balls. That's all the viewer can see. Just saying.

i only added this one to show you the action i was getting all around..confusion lol... she is a girl by the way, lol

If you say so. That's a strange "appendage" SHE has got there. LOL I'll take your word for it. :-)

well you can always do a zoom in.. haha.. yes she is really a girl and quite normal for a female dobie who is not spayed..

The dog is placed in the centre of the photo - I think it would work better if the dog was more towards the right - anywhere but centre :-) and perhaps zooming in a little closer to catch more of that lovely expression on her face.

The photo in post 4 - I think this would have worked better if you had zoomed in so you just got the two dogs together (omitting the back view). Just as an experiment, crop out the left of the photo up to just before the white fur of her neck and paw and perhaps the space on the right and see what you think because I feel that if you had got in closer, this would have been a nice portrait.

I am pretty new to photography myself though so I may well be wrong! :)
