I'm not sure I agree with the term 'overdone' but there is way too much going in the eyes. Seeing a single catchlight is good. Seeing the camera and lighting gear? Not so much. That minor nit aside, very nice images.

Okay, now that I'm home, with a half-way decent monitor, you're right... they might be just a tad over-sharpened.
