advice for post processing

Just wondering if anyone has any advice on the post processing of this picture.
I took it while out with my hubby when he was BMXing I took a couple hundred and this is one of my favorites. Please no advice on them wearing helmets I already know so just advice on any post processing.

A bump in contrast might help, but I'd adjust the curves first. Especially the blacks.

Then I'd crop the right 4th off.

It's unfortunate the light was so bad. Both riders are under exposed about a stop, which fill flash would have helped. Flash also would have allowed reducing the background exposure.

So what you can do is select either the riders/bikes, or the inverse (all that isn't the riders/bikes), and work on the exposure of the riders/bikes/foreground, and the background.
