Advice for shooting with a 50mm on my t4i with its crop sensor?

I think i feel the same way. I've recently gottten to toy around shooting some BTS on a 5D with an 18-105 mm and I loved it. I think that's going to be my next lens. I WAS thinking a 35mm would be a nice lens for shooting, but I've been finding a number of pro photographers using zooms, and people shooting video and movies using them to. With that in mind, I think it makes sense for that to be my next lens. My next question would then be whether I should adapt a Nikon lens or go for the canon L lens or go sigma or something else out there.
