advice needed please

I have been asked to do the photos for my daughters girl scout father daughters dance. The room that will be used is very small, so there is not allot of room for a bunch of lights and stuff. I am looking at buying lights and background, but I'm not sure what to get. Was thinking about going with a chroma key background, but not sure what lighting works best with that. Or should I just go with a regular background. There will be allot of people getting photos in a short amount of time. So taking the time to change out backgrounds to go with a outfit that someone is wearing is not a option. Any advice would be helpful, thank you.
