Took some research to find the roots of this windmill company outof Chicago...also took a conversion and crop to make a good image out of it. I love the gunshot holes in the vane...kids!

I went back up there this afternoon and talked to the owner of the property and he said his grand-dad put it up in 1913. It still spins in a good wind, its had its share of support pole repairs but no longer is used to pump water and its .
