I took a cruise to Alaska this previous summer and I had the opportunity to shoot some great scenic photography. Here are a couple that I am pretty satisfied with. C&C always welcome. :)

I love them! I don't think I've ever seen a starfish's legs like that. I'm too much of a NewB to say anything except 'I'm jealous"!

what about Antarctica? ... or space?

You're making me sad! We used to live in Fairbanks AK. Such an amazing place to live. You got to see some of it, but there is SO MUCH MORE that it's almost overwhelming!

The first one is a bit soft and the way the outline of the rocks is kissing the edge of the lake makes for a distracting composition. The second one is fantastic. I love the contrast in it- don't change a thing. The fourth one is okay but again a little soft. I would like to see you stop down a bit for a better DoF. Not much to say about the third one. It is technically well done but nothing about it strikes me as interesting. Keep up the good work though!

Alaska is truly an amazing place. To experience only some of it just leaves you yearning for more.

Thanks you for the advice! I'm still learning the rules on good compositions and most of the time I just shoot based on what looks right. I still have a long ways to go. :D

I love the second one, great photo.
