Alaskan Cruise - What to Pack?

Having spent a few of my childhood years in very rural New England I'm well experienced with wildlife, perhaps not as large as in the Big North but I know what not to do. Snakes, yummy!

My kit also contains a number of nice filters, CPL is one.

Windbreaker I have is also waterproof, nice Columbia jacket is also nice and warm. Check!

Does your kit contain one of these? Never leave the boat without it.

even the crazy people are afraid of me.

Oh. But this is Alaska.
And remember you're going to have competition up there.

You may want more than a knife if Russia invades. :laugh2:

Something that I didn't mention in my earlier post but it occurs to me that people from the California coast may not really consider but the rest of us in the US focus on is....bug spray. End of July will still be mosquito season there. You like won't need anything on the cruise ship but if you get off in to the hinterlands, a small bottle of mozzie juice would be a good thing.

I don't think most Californians realize there is anything beyond it's borders.

Like that's a bad thing? If they did they might want to leave the asylum to come visit the regular people.
