Am I improving????? Advice on what I need to work on and what I am doing right if any

I like the pics. You have a good eye. Just keep shooting. Problem with asking for c&c here is that your going to get it
even if you dont need it. You can have an absolutly perfect photo and someone is going to find something wrong with it.

It's good to see some good advice, the world has too many people who are too full of themselves to offer a helping hand.
I like the last one best. I've seen loads of babies in baskets but never in a bowl!
I've learned loads from forums - including that if you posted an award winning photo from the world's best photographer some people would rip it to shreds. :LOL: Take on board the good stuff and don't let the other stuff get you down. Several people have said to shoot lots, I think someone else said to note which ones look good and make a note of the settings you used. I can't say better than that because I've got a long way to go myself.

I disagree I think if I keep shooting and there is stuff I am doing wrong I will start developing habits and habits are hard to break.... I think its always good to get help and suggestions!!!

I have to agree with this. You should know what to do before you do it, and you'll know what to look for BEFORE you make mistakes. I, unfortunately, didn't go that route, or I might be a lot better than I am (and I'm probably terrible...but I'm usually hard on myself).

I'm no pro, so my "critiques" (which aren't really critiques) will probably catch some flack, but hey...I'm not afraid to offer my opinion on things.

I think your shots have potential. The first picture is my favorite. It's a little dull, but I like the direction you were headed with the shot. Are you shooting in RAW? If so, you may try playing with some simple Post Processing. You could make that shot look really nice, IMO. But anyway, there's not much need to worry about PP just yet. Worry about getting your composition right, understanding how the camera works, and all the "what happens if..."s out there. Best thing about digital, you don't have to keep your mistakes. Although, I do...they're a good tool to see what you did wrong.

Keep shooting, you'll do just fine!
