I felt bad for this guy and I think he knew it.
An eye of sadness.

Great texture shot. The could stand out a bit more, but nothing you can relly do about that unless you edited it.

It was more or less meant to be an abstract showing the texture, wrinkles and the eye.
There was just no way to capture the entire elephant to where it looked like he was in his natural surroundings.
So I decided to try to make something out of nothing.

I was also distracted a bit by a guy who was bragging about how he killed an Elephant and had the tusks at home, who I wanted to grab by the throat and throw into the Alligator pit.

I don't think the major crop is a problem. I like it. Are you an animal activist? Seems to be important to you. I'm a major advocate for demostic animals. I rescue cats from abusive sitautions and ones that are not adoptable for temperant reasons. I've demosticated a few feral cats.

Why would someone toss kittens into a bag and through them on a highway to be squashed? This happened last week. People are sick.

Nice shot Lightspeed! Cool capture... very similar to one of mine actually, although I couldn't catch the eye the way you did in this one. Caught some major skin texture though! Different species of Elephant also.. your's looks like the Asian? My shots are from the African.

I can empathize on both the "Eye of Sadness" part.. and the jerk with the tusks. Good croc food!

Love elephants, like the texture of this as well.. their skin nearly feels like gritty concrete.. tough to see them at the zoo sometimes, but I suppose its infinitely times better than them having to deal with poachers.
