Hi everyone!:blushing:

I am a newcomer, so wanna tell a bit of myself. I enjoy photographing of my pets, maine coon Carl and malamute Frida. The problem I face is that they are so energetic and it's to hard to catch them in frame. Especially Carl. I think the thing is that they don't like being photographed and try to hide from camera every time they see it in my hands. I really want to photograph them imperceptible, so that they behave as usual, as if they were not photographed. Could you please give me an advice, how can I achieve this?

Take a selfie of yourself petting/holding/offering treat or whatever tends to calm them down.

I was going to write: "Nail their leash to the floor," but then decided this site has too many people who would take that seriously.

Thank you for the advices,
but the thing is that option to take selfie isn't suitable, because I really want to catch them imperceptible.
Also I don't use flash as well.

Does anybody know any special devices (good ones) able to take a photo from side?

Remote Release so you can press a button from elsewhere and take a photo ?

Keep the camera in view of the pets as much as possible so they get used to the shape after a while they will ignore it in your hands.
