Once again, after tending to the horses after work I found a new model.

#3 was by far the scariest, half way through the exposure I noticed my subject had vanished! I then spotted him scurrying towards me as fast as he could (I guess he decided I had taken enough pictures of him). The blurriness in this one was either from me bumping the tripod in my haste to stand up or sonic vibrations from the girlish squeal I made when I saw him coming for me. :blushing:

Every time I look at these pictures of spiders from anyone that posts them, I always wonder if they try to attack, I guess #3 answers that for me. Great shots.

The shape of the web seems to suggest that it's a species of the Tegenaria genus, a.k.a. "funnel web spiders". There are literally dozens of species in that genus which it could possibly represent.

Thanks, I've had them hide or run away but this is the first time I have had one actually come after me! I don't know what kind it is, maybe one of our more knowledgeable nature buffs can tell us.
