Anti Glare Recommendations

I was out shooting the other day in super sunny conditions and I could not see my screen at all due to the glare. What do you do in this situation? and advice on anti-glare screen protectors? Do they work?

You can use a hoodman loupe, but I suppose I need to ask, why are you checking the screen. The worse place to determine the success of a shot is on the LCd

I wear a wide brimmed hat and put the sun at my back to look at the rear LCD, to check framing, or to take a quick look at the histogram. To make the photo I look through the cameras viewfinder.

The truth is I don't look at the rear LCD very often, since the camea's viewfinder tells me pretty much everything I need to know.

Thank-you guys. Is there a good resource (online) that can help me determine the more appropriate way to check the exposure of my shot. I shoot in manual but am still learning about histograms, perfect exposure, etc. Where can I learn more about this? Thank-you

If your checking your exposure, then viewing the histogram is going to be very helpful, as Keith has mentioned that is one reason the check the LCD.
