Any advantage to bigger diameter lenses?

My camera can accept adaptors are either 52mm or 58mm, is there any advantage for going for the 58mm lenses?

Are you talking about adapter lenses that go onto the end of you lens...or do you mean that the entire lens is interchangeable? What camera do you have?

A bigger adapter will be better for wide angle shots because a smaller adapter may show up in the edges of the photo.
