Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I am about to send these off to my client for her approval before I have them printed.

I have laid them out roughly how they will be framed (her choice), the triptych is to match the daughters one, taken at about the same age as the little boy.

Any thoughts on how they look overall or anything I may be overlooking.

That toddler/baby sure can eat some sand, which took some cunning post to remove.

The print size of each image will be 8"x12" (the center image of the triptych is larger @ 8" high).

#1 looks very well done to me. What a priceless capture!

I don't think I ever saw you post kid let photos before. I thought you were all sports and landscapes. Impressive.

Cheers Bitter :)

I will turn my camera to anything that will:
.....help me improve as a photographer
.....offset the cost of an expensive "hobby"
.....make other people happy
.....make myself happy
.....and eventually pay the bills (thats the bit I need to work on, Ive found myself stuck in a dead end job for the last 11 years, the job I have is pretty sweet and laid back, so I can do both and change the percentage of work type over time if I can sell myself and my work well enough, but thats a whole other thread).

I've posted a few of my own kids and myself last week, portraiture and off camera lighting are my area's of interest at present.

The owner of a gallery that displays some of my landscape work almost forced me into this shoot, obviously she knows my work and wants to promote the crap out of me, but I am holding back because I want to get my standards to a level where I am confident in producing a really good product consistantly.

The only thing that strikes me is that in the one with three photos the kid is facing the same way in all of them. Would it be too weird to flip the middle one?

Yeah I kinda worried about that as well, left one he is looking directly at the camera, center and right he is off to the left.

Do you think thats really for me to suggest though, took her 2 weeks just to pick those 4 from the 22 I presented her, lol.

Yep your dead on the money fokker, I think it not only looks fine but it balances it really well.

I might show her both versions, let her make the final decision.

It definitely looks better, and it doesn't look like the kid has any distinguishing marks on either side of his face.

Now I've noticed something else thats slightly bothering, which is his arm/hand in the left hand image - it just looks odd.

Hopefully the arm isnt as noticeable at the full size, im betting the eyes will compensate?

Personally I like thinner border on the triptych. AND... It looks like you dont have the same border size!!

on the first one with the side lighting I would have used a fill flash

they're kind of under exposed and their faces are flat because of lack of shadowing
