Armageddon Expo 2013 Auckland girl in a daze

I love this shot i did at the expo what do you guys think?

It doesn't really do anything for me, sorry. It's weirdly centred looks even stranger because she is looking out of the frame, but there is more empty space to her right than to her left... feels like a quick snapshot. would be better if composed to fit her expression.

I think we need some context; you're looking at with the viewpoint of a person who was there and understands the image, whereas we don't have that, and to be honest I tend to agree with HKs assessment.

He/she is positioned weirdly in the frame. It's framed too tightly. It's out of focus/blurry. He/she has a very awkward pose/expression. The microphone is cutting into the frame and it's distracting. The WB looks off or the saturation is too high, not sure, but the colors seem off here.

The lighting across the face is also very uneven, without any fill, when there was what appears to be a huge light source to the side/rear. The lighting here looks like it could have resulted in a good portraits if there was any sort of technique put behind it; it really appears to have been a spray and pray.

This is close, but it's just not doing it for me here.

I like it. Please fix the little white spot on her eyelid. Are those two hair ribbons actually different colors? Too bad about the white ball thing in front of her.

stick on jewels. not as bad as the weird thing in he/she's nose.

lol the microphone is not a microphone its a hammer and part of her costume lol but yes the white dot by the eye and the hammer would be better not there but to do that would mean using photo shop or getting her to pretend to be steering in to space and that then would miss the point of the photo and why i liked it.
