Yes, I did some texture thing to the background. Experimenting.
I do find the blown whites in the upper left distracting.

IMHO, the effect in the background is distracting. Probably a strong blur effect would be better, but you probably already tried that.
Besides that, I really like the picture. Maybe the colors are a little bit too soft.

Selective colouring....Nice, er, yeah....really..er...creative and..er....origina-, no, just.....yeah!

Not really feeling this one, to be honest. The partial filtering is odd to say the least and the drab colours that the lady is wearing make the selective colouring a bit of a lost cause.

I'd put this one down to experience if I were you!

Yeah. Thanks for all your thoughts on this. I appreciate the extra eyes. Sometimes you try to hard to make something work, and lose sight of your vision.
