Hi all

Below are some of yesterday's photosession. The model is athlatic and used to be a fulltime model. I used high contrast lighting and color gels to add drama and to show more muscles I hope it worked

I made minimal post work and I used the Jpgs as they were really great just out of the camera so I though why waste alot of time importing to LR.

Any feedback is much appriciated.

The hotspot on the wall is a little distracting but she is very toned and I think you do present that well in th e2nd image.

This is the same woman you posted from a previous thread, this is your co-worker? It must be hard not to be distracted at work :lol:

I like these pictures for obvious reasons

but what was the third picture trying to convey, it feels a little awkward. The first one is my favorite, can't decide if I like the shadowed face...... ..... .... I think I do. Puts more emphasis on body and less on her face, but still has an outline for the imagination to fill in.

The power of the backlights was the same and same distance.. it should be the same tone exposure of the reds. Maybe I should have used the darker blue to acheive the same tone.. Thank you for noting that and commenting.

You got that right

She is the same girl.. I showed her your comments on that thread and she liked them and agreed to do a studio session. Actually these are from theme 1 we did about 4. Stay tuned.

We were trying to get some action shots, unfortunately we didn't have any dumbles or other things to use. So we were trying some hair playing but keeping the athlatic mood. I thought it worked, its ok if it didn't.

In the first one, the face was in shadows intentionally to emphasize the body. We did other themes were the lighting was different and both the body and face were lit.

I love the first 2 images, (though I wish the first had more fill on the dark side of her face) but I really love the backdrop, going to go home and experiment with some gels I just got in the mail.. thanks for the inspiration.
Oh and I concurr, she's yummy

You still need a little bit of work on the workout photos. Its a whole different kind of ball game. Check out fitness girls on FB. Lots of good examples there.

Theres a lot of coin to be made in that market. I have a friend that makes most of his living as a photographer doing fitness photography for body builders.
