Super jealous. It was heavily clouded when I got home at 10:30 and then too bright when I got up at 4:45. Boo!

Clouded out in Montreal. Bummer. Continuing clouds and heavy rain predicted for this afternoon, going into tonight... No clearing until sometime Sunday morning. Looking forward to seeing what others (such as Runnah), were able to get.

Had a look - the image "K52A6960" is absolutely delicious, both for the phenomenon you captured, and the way you framed the shot. Brilliant idea to take those with water in the foreground - it amplifies the effect very effectively. Post it here so I can give you a "winner" tag.

I did, went into northern NH and over the border into Maine. It was only like half an hour of crazy light, but clearly visible to the naked eye- one of the craziest things I've ever seen. By the time I found a good foreground the show was mostly over. I did get some photos I'll post later though.

Boston's lights, Northern Lights never showed

They look good to me. I think the water helps.
Our light dome is about 100 miles wide, so it is a bit of a drive to where you can see more than half a dozen stars, and, we had a lot of rain.

I mean don't get me wrong, it was absurd to watch. One of the craziest experiences of my life, just wish I had time to find a better foreground. We ended up going to another spot nearby that would've been amazing but by then the Aurora had died done considerably
