Auto-Save Function ?

Hello!

I realized that while you're writing a new thread or posting a response, sometimes a small yellow 'Auto-Saved' message appears.
Now, I can't find where are these things saved. Could you please tell me where can I find those saved texts? I've working on this thread for quite a long time and lost it... So I'd like to know how to recover these saved versions.

I have noticed sometimes when I type a reply then decide not to post it (trust me, that usually for the better ), and then come back to the thread - the is a little box next to the 'post quick reply' and 'go advanced' boxes that says 'restore saved content' (or similar to that).

Do you see anything like that?


If it was a new thread you were creating, try creating a new one with the same title and see if there's a restore box. That's the best idea I have right now...

I just tested it on this thread, and this is what I got:

Here it got saved. After that, I hit the back button, then clicked on this thread again.

Then I saw this:

Clicked it, and it worked.


You may be out of luck if you were creating a new thread though...

I lost the thread I was working on, but now it won't happen again.

No problem. It happens...

If it's something important or long, it may be worth typing it in a text editor first, then just copy & paste it to the forum when it's done.
