There are quite a few on TPF that are obviously not an original photo that was taken by the user in question.

Off the top of my head - this is the first one I can think of:

Please note that I am not intending to call kundalini out - his use of that image is perfectly fine to me, it's just the first one I could think of. And I do realize that it's entirely possible that he drew that himself.

My avatar suits me, thank you very much. I'm not changing it until I'm ready to do so. I used to have Foghorn Leghorn, nobody moaned about that one either. I had Tweety Bird, Tom (of Tom & Jerry), Martin the Martian and a few others. I grew up when cartoons were good.

Ahh the good old classics!! Sadly being killed off left right and centre by political correctness and stuffs

It's not cool to use as an avatar, an image you don't own the copyright to, unless you have writen permission from the copyright owner to do so.

I agree 100%. I find it kind of funny that so many here are making light of it, when you know these same people would be bitching about someone using one of their images on their websites.
