Here in Florida we had an Early Bird Special. Painted Buntings. Still waiting for the hummingbirds to return.

They'll be back, they remember where the creature loving humans live. No hummers here, be cool if there were...

Ps. I can't have a feeder like that, bloody sparrows would cotton'on to it and devour it all. This is going to be a problem with my friends chooks that are going to be living here in the near future.

Between sparrows, cockys, magpies and doves + rabbits there going to be getting into there food. Buggers!

These are the Grackles. They are the ones who spill a lot of the seeds on the ground and scare away the smaller birds. The Mourning Doves don't mind because they go through the grass for the seeds. I love their yellow eyes. The one looks like he needs cataract surgery.

No the doves are here all year long. Also Blue jays, Mockingbirds, Cardinals, Egrets and more.

They are year-round here, but with a couple of raptors patrolling the neighborhood they've made themselves scarce.

The only raptors I have seen here are the Kites. They are more interested in the fish in the small lakes and ponds. We have Bald Eagles in Florida, but I have never seen one in our Fort Lauderdale city area.

The Spotted Doves here are year round too.

Last week in the camping area i looked up and noticed an eagle flying in circles above us, the camera was in the house and was tossing up on going in and getting it. I did...

The bunnys were sleeping under the table and chair, when i got back out it had gone.

Finally was out on the patio when the Eastern Phoebe showed up again. Wrong lens and camera but got a fair shot. The are fly catcher birds and go for the fruit flies that come from the bananas that I put there to spoil. I saw the first one last week. Still in the learning phase. Not bad for an 80 year old fart if I can still learn. I think. Now I will have to go out in front when the Ibis's are out there. They go through the grass digging for grubs.
