B&W but with a little color C&C welcomed

so i may have went a little pp crazy with this pic but i like it. c&c is always wanted and welcomed.

I like the little touch of colour, sometimes people go way OTT and it just looks tacky.
There are a lot of soft spots and the whites are a bit blown :-(

I dont mind the selective colouring, but I personally would prefer a straight black and white... has a more timeless and less gimmicky feel

Seems that his nose is sharper than his eyes, although hard to tell with the processing.

As already noted, there are some slight blow outs on his forehead. I dont mind the tight crop, but I would try and get his whole face, including bottom of his jaw, in the frame.

Looking at it again, i think my main issue is the neck, if the dog is the subject, it should be completely in focus, but here, the only thing i can look at without my eyes going criss-crossed is his eyes and maybe his (camera right) eye.
