That will do it! Manual flash.. and manual on the camera. Meter the background... and set your settings for that (with a shutter speed of 60 to 100 depending on what sync speeds your camera / flash will handle. Set your aperture and ISO to allow that shutter speed). Then look on the flash and see what distance it wants to be at for the aperture you set.. get at that distance, shoot, and it should balance pretty close.... then play with it. You will have fun.. and learn a lot!

Yep! I want to drag my husband out with us though.. I get freaked out stepping too far back from him when he's in the swing. He's not quite 8 months, and pretty floppy in the swing. lol He's caught a cold it looks like.. so hoping tomorrow he'll be feeling better and I can take him back out.
