I like the use of natural light but the focus seems off to me too. Her face and eyes are a little on the soft side. She is a cutie though!

The focus is on her eyes, I always do it that way. I think I was having trouble balancing the aperature and shutter speed, the shutter was really low like 1/30 I believe, so it may have blurred just a little bit. But thank you for the input, I appreciate it.

The focus, even on her eyes, is really soft. With a shutter speed of 1/30 you won't be able to get the sharpness that you're looking to achieve. What was your ISO at? Do you have a flash that you can use at all?

My ISO and flash are things I both learning yet. I used the ISO at 800 on time and forgot to turn it down for some out door pics, since them I am afraid to touch it. So here, my ISO was at 100. I do have the Nikon SB600 - learning the manual mode now.
