Putting aside such mundane matters as available budget for the moment, I can highly recommend the Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 should you be looking. Check out a few of the more recent images on my flickr site of you want to see what it's capable of.

Wow, these are wonderful. These must have been hard to take with the little buggers jumping everywhere.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments. I appreciate it. At one point, I had one on the end of my lens while I was taking shots of another. Damn I love nature. Photography is such a wonderful hobby! I appreciate things on such a different level now.
