A cute image; a couple of thoughts for improvement: (1) Wait until the child turns a little more toward you; ideally have a parent stand directly behind you and attract the child's attention; (2) Choose more homogenous, less distracting backgrounds. This one is somewhat defocused, but still has enough detail & tonal variation to be distracting; and (3) Use an OCF or reflector to bring a little light into the eyes and produce a nice catchlight. The left eye is seriously 'racooned'.

I would rotate it a few degrees clockwise, the crop off the entire right-hand third of the image and throw that away, and keep the left 2/3 of the shot. I think after I did that, I would darken the lower left hand elbow/arm area a bit, to move the eye up and away from that light arm.
