it was shot at an angle, and it's a baby eye, I did mess with the color and agree with the skinniest have a green tone.

I think the problem is that there isn't enough context; though it's obvious this is an eye/eyelashes, the angle is disorienting -- the eye appears to be floating on a dreamy back-drop, completely unattached to any face. Figure out how to improve that and I think you could get a great photo.
