I was trying to do a shot with flour and some flash, but I tried an angle from above while she was practicing her spins without adding some flour to her hair. It didn't work with the flour, but I like how this one turned out regardless.

this would be a really great shot without the flour in her hair and a little less gray and more bw. something like this is imo a pure classic and absolutely wonderful shot without the gimmicks. Assuming you know this person, you have a chance shooting them to shoot some real high class photography. just my opinion.

She's a good friend, so I'll definitely be able to do this again. I definitely need to mess with the lighting a little more to light her up better though

i am jealous. i wish i knew a ballet dancer. what better example of grace and lines can you capture? huge opportunity there for someone who wants the experience and you could really come up with some phenomenal work.

I know 2 actually. Her and a my dancer / gymnast / film guru roommate. Absolutely awesome people to hang out with.
