Balloon Festival

A small town near where I live has a national hot air balloon festival (and museum.)

Obviously, local social media is filled with the same sunrise, sunset, balloons in the sky shots all week long. I went out last night with the idea to get something different from the thousands of exact same shots.

Did I succeed?

Definitely. I've always wanted to shoot one of these balloon events, but I agree, there's a lot of similarity between images, the monochrome definitely makes this stand out.

When I lived in Kentucky they used to fly over our house all of the time. I think you've captured a nice image that is indeed different than the run of the mill balloon shots.

Yes, you definitely made that effort count! It's hard being original since everyone has at least a phone camera today.
