Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I dunno... gotta keep with a theme, right? I was slightly afraid they were gonna come beat me up for taking the picture, so I suppose it fits...

c/c welcome if desired.

The glare from the window you were shooting through is quite distracting?

Some laid back characters....

I once read a detailed account of how to remove window reflections and while I've always been able to get close, I've never achieved the perfection shown in the tutorial..but I have learned how to either minimize the effect or make the effect work for the image.

I used some of these techniques on the edit but worry that I might have gone too far in the overall effect on the rest of the image...it's one of those he giveth and he taketh things...

Like Rick says, this is one laid back group. A nice shot all the way around.

I wanna see Grocery store...Grocery store of terror next!!!

I do not mind the reflection...in fact, it kinda' shows that your are outside, looking in, which is in itself kind of an amusing little twist! Looking in at...the barbershop of terror!

The "terror" part is easy enough to arrange. Go in, have your haircut, and then don't tip them. Uh-huh.

They are some LAZY barbers!. Im so glad I don't go there. 3 of them sitting around half asleep and there is hair all over the floor. Very nice and inspiring shot tho.

Care to share the technique or any info you can on it?? PM me if you feel that is more appropriate than sharing in this thread. Thanks in advance. :)

I wasn't sure myself... But yeah, it's definitely something to consider. If I had a cpol on me I probably would have used it, but the "looking in" effect adds something too.

Hahah ya think? I was like "hey maybe you guys should clean up all that hair!" :)

Nice edit. I'm going to have to spend some time looking this up, because while I'm not sure I want to remove the glass reflection entirely, toning it down a bit might be good.

Lol actually there were several grocers on this strip I was very tempted to walk into... Maybe I need to go back.

And thanks, everyone, for your comments!

The filthiness of the place adds to the terror factor =)

I kinda like it even with the reflection. I can't help but see a missed moment in time (decisive moment if you will) with the barber turned around cutting his customer's hair rather than facing the mirror with his back turned to the customer. Documenting people interacting with each other....

Sometimes, I will back out a bit... capture the same scene through the window but actually incorporate the window itself into the composition... framing the scene. It defines the reflection (as people immediately know its a window) as well as give purpose to the window.

Of course, in street photography there's a bit of luck involved as well... thanks for sharing.

The correct term is prejudice. And no... that's not my reaction from seeing that photo. You must be looking for it and internalizing.
