I like the concept, but I think maybe back the contrast slider off a tad.

Love the contrast & texture. I might change the title. Let the viewer discover what it is an image of.

Hmmm I still like the first one better

I like the second one better. The first was a bit overwhelming for me.
The only other suggestion I would make is to crop off the left portion of the frame.
It's softer and, combined with the highlights, detracts from the textural nature of the composition.
